Take Flight

This board design is for a Burton Snowboard Design Competition hosted by Blank You Very Much. This design is for the Tattle Tale board, a girl's board, being judged by Kimmy Fasani. Kimmy's design request is for a board that gets away from the usual graphics that can be found on a girl's board, something unique. As a female boarder I couldn't agree with her more. Way too many boards out there for women are too girly and just not edgy enough, the most common theme I see is lots of pink and purple swirls, yuck! The concept "Take Flight" is based on the contests description of Kimmy, "fearlessly flying where no woman has gone before" as well as the sense of flight and speed one actually experiences when snowboarding, whether cruising down the mountain or hitting a jump, snowboarding gives us a sense of freedom that can be described as being just like flying.

Y'all Yeti For This?

Hey y'all,
Here's my submission for a recent snowboard design competition for Signal Snowboards, hosted by Talent House. Went with a backcountry mountain theme, mountains, trees, all that jazz. Spiced it up with a yeti cruising down the mountain on a snowboard while startling a mountain goat. Incorporated Signal's logo as the sun behind the mountains on the front. On the back of the board I took more of a minimalist approach with a solid yellow background and signal's logo with three mountain goats climbing across the top of the letters, the front one is winking and has a little speech bubble with Signal's logo symbol. Wish me luck! And if you feel so inclined vote for me here: Signal Snowboards - "Y'all Yeti For This?"

Wolf Pack Board Design

First snowboard design mock up for a wolf pack themed board with my favorite shades of blues and greens!

Here's a link to the template I used for the highlights/shadows on the board: Snowboard Template

Welcome

Hi there, I'm a bit new to this so I want to make a quick introduction. My name is Angie, I'm a Minnesota native turned Colorado resident, and recent newbie snowboarder. I moved to the great state of Colorado just over a year ago, and have since then fell in love with the winter months because of my new found passion for snowboarding. As a professional in the design world, naturally I have come to find an interest in snowboard graphics as well, so here I am starting a blog to share my hobby of designing snowboard graphics. Happy shredding!
